December 1, 201411 yr Johnny Football may be given the chance to start this week. Hoyer was pulled yesterday in favor of Manziel. Are we going to start seeing money signs? I think it's a huge mistake to make the change at this point of the season. I could see making the change if Cleveland was out of the playoff hunt, but the fact they are right in the mix of things, it's tough for me to agree with the change. It's as if the Cleveland folks are throwing in the towel already. Don't get me wrong, Johnny football may take them to the promised land, I just don't think unless he was a sure fire hit and would of started game 1 that at this point of the season is bad karma taking out yourstarter when you are right there in the hunt. I don't think it's a case of "throwing in the towel." I think they are trying to save the season and , right or wrong, think Johnny Football now gives them the best chance. Tough spot for a rookie QB. Edited December 1, 201411 yr by PurplePride92

Tough spot for a rookie QB. This we can both agree with. P.S Everytime you write Johnny Football's initials I have a double take, those are my initials. I wish I was starting for Cleveland Edited December 1, 201411 yr by PurplePride92

I agree. I'd rather see Johnny take over at the beginning of next season than now. I almost feel like he is being set up to fail.

December 1, 201411 yr Why the extra F? I'm telling you, Clyde thinks I should be starting for the Browns Edited December 1, 201411 yr by PurplePride92
December 1, 201411 yr Substitute Dalton for Hoyer and Bengals for Browns, and HB is onboard!!!!!!!!! I don't want to switch the Bengals for browns but I am all for switching Hoyer for Dalton.
December 1, 201411 yr Put me with HB, I think the Browns are nutz. JF may prove us all wrong but how do you go away from Hoyer after the season the Browns have had.

December 1, 201411 yr Put me with HB, I think the Browns are nutz. JF may prove us all wrong but how do you go away from Hoyer after the season the Browns have had. Because they're the Browns I look at it like this. The Browns have had a good season, but it is obvious Hoyer's ceiling is low. Not sure Manziel has a high ceiling, but they drafted him to take that gamble. The Browns have won some games, but Hoyer is not exactly dominating the competition. He's had some lackluster performances, even in wins. 1 TD to 6 INTs the last 4 games is all you need to know.

Hoyer had his chance Cleveland surely don't want to sign a Dalton type to long term contract. lol
