He runs very well, deceptively so for a guy with his heighth...he's got quick feet and good vision for where he's going.

Good luck to both programs. My vote is for Lexington Catholic but my head is saying Highlands. I just hope it's a competitive game.

Great man who did all the little things for the LexCath football program: painted helments, filmed games and practices, swept the turf field. He also found time to be close with and mentor almost all the kids who have come through the LexCath football program for many years (including me).

 

Sounds like a good guy who has mentored lots of successful kids who've gone on to great heights.

For a prediction.

 

Knights - 42. This offense is as potent as last at this point in the season. The Knights have scored 21, 28 and 35 (with a running clock for 2 and half quarters) the last 3 years. So lets extrapolate the series to 42 for this year.

Bluebirds - 49 (If they are forced to punt less than twice.)

Bluebirds - 35 (If they are forced to punt two or more times.)

 

As I put in the write-up Highlands has not had to punt the last two games. Zero. And I am not sure of the 2011 game. These teams will score but can the Knights get the stops and play almost error free, disciplined football for 48 minutes is the question.

 

Lets hope for good weather and injury-free football Friday.

915 bar a block north of the school, big HHS hangout with great burgers and wings, typical bar food

There is a wide range of chain eating places on the Grand Ave exit off of 471, about 2 miles from the school. Rio Grande has great Mexican food at a good value.

I think Highlands wins this one in a battle that comes down to the last few minutes of the game.

More of a local place, going to a chain restaurant that I could go to at home seems like I waste to me. Probably will get there between 4 and 5.

Highlands 56-35...with both teams throwing the ball, I look for alot of scoring and a long game time-wise. Highlands possesses the power to run well also which spells doom for LexCath. Hoge is such a solid player, I think he runs for a couple of scores and passes for 4 more. Highlands might have a tendency to overlook a team and play their C+ game (and still win by 2 TD's), but this won't happen with LexCath - at least 3 TD's.

 

I hope Owensboro makes it to BG and get's a chance to play Highlands - you want to play the best. Highlands is the best program in the state, IMHO.

Will be tight time wise with a 6pm game and no ticket presales. You don't want to be late to the game. In 10 minutes you could miss several scores.

Wow! Great way to put down a team. Run all over them with an awesome running attack and play down to their C+ level team. I'm glad I have no dog in that C+ level team.

Not putting down LexCath - I just think Highlands is the better team. My C+ comment was basically for how Highlands played the Ashland Game - didn't sound like their best game. I said I don't think Highlands will overlook LC and therefore will not play their C+ game. Therefore, Highlands by at least 3 TD's. Sorry, if Owensboro makes the final, you can give me back the comment.
