Does Reese run at all or is he more of a pocket passer?

 

Majority of the time, a pocket passer and will also roll the pocket for him. With that said he had a wonderful run last night on a read option and he took off around 50 yards. My point is he can run if he had to.

He was a retired educator, coach, military man who served this great nation of ours. Who has been doing all of Lex Catholic films for many years. Great man of faith, character. George past away last spring and the team dedicated this year to him. He motto has always been " Find A Way ".

He's been doing it for a couple years, all in good fun. Many of us look for it. Hope he's wrong. Again.

Great man who did all the little things for the LexCath football program: painted helments, filmed games and practices, swept the turf field. He also found time to be close with and mentor almost all the kids who have come through the LexCath football program for many years (including me).

That's cool! I have seen that motto used in other arenas. Each one having a special meaning and use!

BB and Knights beat me to this from an overall perspective.

 

George grew up in Hazard and made his way to Lexington. He graduated from Lafayette in 1965. While he was very active with LexCath he was also active in helping players at Lafayette to get scholarships. He also worked with KYMSFA events at the middle school level.

 

I unexpectedly got a chance just this past New Years Eve to talk a long while wth George and his wife Kim when they dropped in at a holidy gathering. They had other places to go but there was good company and good bourbon and they stayed the rest of the evening. I found out that George not only was active with football programs and helping players but was also a mentor and helper to many former players - he especially connected with those that may be considered a little ragged around the edges. He was a Sheppard to the lost flock at times. He appreciated the underdog and those who where struggling in life, especially players and former players.

 

Hence - "Find a way."

 

Its not just about football.

I do think he is very much looking forward the game Friday. The Knights will be the undisputed underdog - he wouldn't want it any other way.

I think this will be very close and could see it going either way but believe Highlands will win ; good luck to both teams.

One of the really neat things about BGP is getting the chance to hear about these behind the scenes everyday heroes that programs are blessed to have. Good to see them getting their due even though that's not the reason any of them volunteered.
