This was more in response to a Green Waver calling our D "Porous". No matter what team I was with, I would of course be confident if I made it to the semi-finals, it's a heck of an accomplishment to get this far, only 4 teams left.

Yes, Trinity's TOTAL defense IS porous. Their run D appears to be very good, but how many of those teams were run-first? The jury's still out on that one. Most of the damage to this defense has been passing -- thus total D = porous. See another thread for a small-but-created-with-actual-numbers analysis.

Re Hamilton Field, why not have a capital fund drive to rebuild the stadium, emphasis on artificial turf, larger visitors section, and safer seating all around ~ if there is empty space under bleacher seats that a smaller person could accidently fall through. Don't laugh, there are a lot of high school stadiums that are lawsuits waiting to happen. And since artificial turf can be set up & used regularly for any sort of field sport, not just Meade Co but community groups would benefit. Since Meade Co has such a loyal following, it shouldn't be that hard to raise $300,000 to refurbish the ol' place. Sure wish Male and Manual would do something about their wretched venues.

We did rebuild about 6-7 years ago when a wind storm (tornado?) blew everything down. We just didn't have any left over for the visitor side -- we just don't have the money resources available to Trinity/X/yada.

And thank God we did not do astro turf!

Ever heard of Carmel, IN? The Undefeated IN 6A team playing for the championship? They employ almost an identical offense to yours, QB runs it a bunch, held them to 1 TD.

Good thing they play the games.............said Graves County.

And Manuel....right McCracken County

I do not buy this argument. Every private school parent pays for public school kids to go to school as well as their own. Our choice, but also your choice not to fund your facilities. Meade County has one high school. The county does have enough money to pay for the facilities. The big difference is that there is no tradition of raising money to pay for what you need. By necessity, we have always had that tradition. We don't have any other way to pay for it.

Trinity by 14-21. Louisville 6A is on another level in 6A this season IMO.

I suppose you will just have to witness the game Friday and see for yourself.:sssh:

Wow! just read through thread and I've got to say, surprising the disdain people have for T. I feel your pain T fans. Lol! With that said, I have to go with Trinity in this one. I think Trinity's schedule has helped them more to win a game like this. Some in NKY think that's a bunch of bull, but I don't.

First of all Trinity alum, we have a very nice facility...One of the nicest in the area. Our county does an excellent job funding our sports programs. As far as "Tradition" raising money we raise plenty. So don't put your foot in your mouth about no tradition ..you don't have a clue what our tradition is. So are you saying parents raised the money to build your staduim. I think not...Churches get lots of tax breaks (as in tax exempt) from the government. So in a way our tax $$ are paying for your nice staduim. Just like your tax $$ help pay for public schools.

All I have to say is we have shocked X in the playoffs before why not T? It's not the size of the dog in the fight but rather how much fight is in the dog.

There is no pain tdyballgame. Our success breeds the disdain/hate whatever you want to call it People read arrogance into our conversations about T football when none is intended. We are quite used to it

Try again. Every cent that built Trinity's Stadium was privately raised and I'm not sure of Trinity's tax status but I do know that they don't get 1 cent of tax money to support anything. I assume that the status of the taxes they pay are very similar to those that are paid by the MC School System (or any public school system for that matter) except that I don't think that MC pays into the Social Security system.

That says a lot.

Yes it does. He is one of the reasons that the older crowd dislikes privates so much. It was feed into the program by the man who started it. I wish we had your resources and facilities but we don't. I am not going to cry and say it's unfair cause it's not... The rules are what they are. I would honestly hate to see private and public separate. I love the challenge of knocking the big boys off their throne.

They don't need tax $$..Everything the churches does is tax exempt.
