Doubletake1906 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 In light of recent events with Bowling Green High losing to Graves, and South Warren winning in dominant fashion, has SW taken over as the dominant team in South Central Kentucky? South starts primarily all Sophomores and Juniors which bold swell for the future; while BGHS is led by a plethora of Seniors... These seem to be 2 programs headed in opposite directions. Thoughts?

Opposite directions? :lol2: Okay then. If you say so. :lol2: I would love to see South Warren become the program that BG currently is and I'd love to see Brandon Smith be the one who elevates them to the next level. Good luck next week. :thumb:
Ram Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Oposite directions? You do know Bowling Green won 48 games in a row and three State Championships in a row, all ending this season. It's not like they are headed for the bottom rung on the ladder.
BIG BLACK JACK Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I'm going to get a couple Plano Store biscuits in the morning to celebrate! #RichpondMarketIsTooFar
PurplePride92 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I'm going to get a couple Plano Store biscuits in the morning to celebrate! #RichpondMarketIsTooFar Now I am reminiscing about the middle school basketball circuit. Richpond, Alvaton, Rockfield, Delafield, Cumberland Trace, Warren Elementary. We lost every game I ever played in at St. Joes but I remember those school names. :lol2:
macdon Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 South Warren is a school with a larger enrollment than BGHS competing in AAA. Next season they will be in AAAA. The SW district will include Warren Central and Franklin-Simpson. From what I saw tonight SW will be the pre-season to win that district. That is a good football team. The demise of BG is exaggerated and pre-mature.

South Warren is a very good team and yes, it certainly bodes well for them that they are playing younger kids. They have a bright future and should be successful, even with the move up in class. In time, perhaps their fans will become accustomed to the success and will be able to handle it without having to take shots at other programs in an attempt to build themselves up. I wouldn't pronounce Bowling Green DOA just yet, they are 55-3 over the last 4 years.
sports fan Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 That is a "bold swell" of a statement. BG is not going in the wrong direction.

I wouldn't pronounce Bowling Green DOA just yet, they are 55-3 over the last 4 years. I wouldn't hold my breath on SW fans ever conducting business like BG... They're basicly assembled from Greenwood who may have had the most arrogant fan base in the state and had nothing to back it up. Also when SW succeeds in the class they belong in I will respect them... All these "young players" for SW are a part of an enrollment that should make SW 5A, competing in 3A.... Anyone surprised their having success?
charlesw88 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I believe doubletake is jumping the gun a bit. I like what Brandon Smith is doing there but as everyone has been saying before me, opposite directions? C 'mon man!
Voice of Reason Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 SemperFi .... Is South Warren going to 4A or 5A next season? If they are going to 4A, then why are you saying they have 5A enrollment?

Their going to 4A next year, which they should have been for three years now... It's my understanding that inside the halls of that school next year will be an enrollment that technically puts them in 5A, so in essence they'll get another three year gift from KHSAA by playing down. A conspiracy theorist might wonder what relationships exist with the powers backing SW, KHSAA, Riherds etc.. I've long wondered who or what got the State Championship to BG, now I wonder what has got SW such favoritism and is there a link...
