While I agree it would have been MUCH more interesting I think you are taking a little too much away from those BG teams. Highlands is Highlands but this decade BG is BG. Both excellent programs who would not find either of each other to be a cakewalk.

In light of recent events with Bowling Green High losing to Graves, and South Warren winning in dominant fashion, has SW taken over as the dominant team in South Central Kentucky? South starts primarily all Sophomores and Juniors which bold swell for the future; while BGHS is led by a plethora of Seniors... These seem to be 2 programs headed in opposite directions. Thoughts?

 

I could not be more proud of SW representing our area with great success, but really? 48 game win streak 5? State title visits 3 state titles in 10 years and South Warren is no THE program in the area after a BG loss??? No sir. I am rooting for SW as I would any BG area team left but this is funny.

BG is 1-1 in State Championship games against Highlands. I don't think either school is particularly afraid of the other.

That's the strange thing for me. I consider myself to be from South Central Ky and have pride in being from that area, I've always felt South Central Ky is as good as any region in Ky when it comes to sports and Warren Co is where everyone in this region spends a lot of time because it's the only place to shop, eat and enjoy a night out. I've always found myself pulling for BG, WC , WE, ACS etc. And I think those schools have supported Monroe as well. I've always had a problem with Greenwood that goes back to the days I played against them, I've never respected anything they've ever done because they've never done anything respectable, yet you wouldn't know it from them. Somehow SW has the personality that those at Greenwood had and it bugs the crap out of me. The irony of me disliking SW so much is that SW has several ties to Monroe Co. Wether it be Coaches, players and for me I even have family on that team, still yet I can't stomach the way they play, or their arrogant fan base... I lone for the day they get put in the district with BG, I will go to every game and sit on the SW side to listen to the crying.

When you are the youngest brother and your older brother just seems to be incredible at everything and draws a lot of attention.................what does the younger brother do? He gets loud every time he does even the smallest thing right. Ties his shoe, shows dad. Makes a free throw, tells dad. Learns to jump rope, watch this dad.

Regarding your speak about Greenwood, I'd send my daughter to Greenwood before Bowling Green. If I had a son, different story.

Step back and realize you are taking a shot AT AN ENTIRE PROGRAM BECAUSE OF ONE POSTER.

BGHS was built to accommodate about 50% more students than currently attend. They will just let WCPS keep building $100 million campuses and pick the students they want to become Purples.

This is an excellent point. Does South Warren have a BG type of reputation? How are the district lines drawn up and how have they managed to achieve success in such a quick amount of time and Greenwood never has?
