Gym Teacher Charged After Attempting to Force Student into Pool

Featured Replies

I doubt a HS student is allowed to have a phone out and use it in class, I doubt many schools allow kids to freely us cell phones in class.

Pretty darn stupid on the teachers part.

Freely no but there should be a protocol for when cell use is acceptable by students.

1. If this moron really wanted to get her in the pool, why didn't he just pick her up and throw her in?

2. I don't think there is any legal action to be taken here. Should he be fired? Yes. Criminal charges? No.

3. All schools have different policies, but I am in different schools every week and I see cell phones everyday in the classroom--many days they are being used freely and ALWAYS within reach to catch something like this on camera.

That was one of the wildest things I've ever watched. Just crazy! I don't know why anyone would act like that, especially someone who is supposed to be a teacher and a role model. The worst part was how persistant he was, he definitely wasn't giving up the struggle.

What in God's name is wrong with that guy?

That guy needs to be fired 100 times over.

As I have said before on here, I think our society has come to the point where every time someone makes a mistake they have to be fired and I often disagree but this guy HAS TO GO. No excuse for what I just watched. Totally unacceptable. She has to have scrape marks all over her back the way he was dragging her around.

I'm with those that think it was completely wrong and the guy should be fired, this isn't the 60s or 70s any longer. Speaking of those decades, I will say this is almost mild compared to things I witnessed classmates go through or had happen to me when I was in high school.
