A gym teacher was caught on camera dragging a 14-year-old student towards the pool after she refused to get into the water because she didn't want to ruin her hair.

Agreed. You don't put your hands on a student ever.

Now that I disagree with, but only when absolutely necessary. A friend of mine is a middle school teacher here in Louisville and received special training on exactly what to do to pull two kids apart who are fighting. They have a pretty strict protocol around here for how to go about it.

I can agree with that scenario.

And I get where you were coming from. Two very different scenarios.

Putting your hands on a student to "teach a lesson" or whatever it is he was doing is one hundred percent out of bounds.

Pretty lame attempt to get her in pool, I expected it to be worse. Looks like it was a funny thing, didnt hear audio, but pitiful by PE teacher. She shouldnt have even dressed out if she had no intention of getting in the pool.

Ha ha...it's always funny when a child is assaulted. Maybe you should get some speakers so you can hear her pleading to be left alone because her top was coming off. Please don't tell me you are putting blame on the child in this situation.

Teachers are legally allowed to stop a student from hurting themselves or others, but there are limits to the amount of force and types of restraint holds that are legal.

Teaching will probably head the way of law enforcement, pretty much anyone is stupid to choose it as a career field because of all the potential legal entanglements.
