Nothing makes me happier than to have the Kenton Co. teams competitive. Having Dixie and SK in the regional final is fantastic, IMO. Both teams have tons of talent and both are capable of representing the County into the next round of the playoffs. My preference is that team is SK but won't be too disappointed if they play a good game.

 

I'm in a good mood, I'll even cheer against highlands (or for CovCath, whichever works better for your particular situation). :banana:

What I can't figure out is why not just ignore the dive and play the keeper every time? Make them take 12 plays to score instead of 3. Better chance of making a mistake.

 

Because then Luke Zajac or Cameron Barrett are standing in the endzone while the defenders are tackling Moore.

If you ignore the dive you will be giving up a lot of yardage also.

 

The power pistol zone read they are now running when you watch it close turns into to isolation plays. If he gives it, one of the up backs is leading up in the hole on the lb, if he pulls, it the other up back is leading the qb I off the edge. It is a really really nasty play to try and defend.

I like to think I see and watch a lot of football and even though I see a lot of power pistol I have not seen any team run the zone read blocking scheme that Dixie utilizes. I love it!!

Exactly. You hit the QB with the guy they are reading off of every time and let the other 10 play the RB. Drew Moore is outstanding and if you don't get multiple hits on him throughout the game he will run wild. Gap control and hits on Drew Moore has to be a big part of the SK defensive game plan.

Run up the middle and get tackled by LB Markie Rider he got his first start last week the kid is a beast!

Why didn't SK do all what you said the last time you met??? The only game that Dixie didn't do what they do now was vs Cov Cath.
