November 12, 201411 yr If I had a several million dollars I would build my own college. A) you would need more than several million. B) that would be terrific for a myriad of reasons, and I'd be your first booster. :bunny:
November 12, 201411 yr If I had a several million dollars I would build my own college. That way SK would really have all those D1 offers, right? :jump:
November 12, 201411 yr The best ROI of any public institution in the State of Kentucky and I believe the cheapest. I'm not sure why you feel that it is over valued. I've had several discussions where I stated my feelings about how degrees from NKU stand up to those from UK and Louisville...but what makes them the best ROI of any public institution? EKU: In State - $3,960 per semester; $8,724 out of state. NKU: In State - $4,236 per semester; $8,472 out of state. UK: In State - $5,232 per semester; $11,367 out of state. UofL: In State - $5,118 per semester; $12,062 out of state.
November 12, 201411 yr FYI, if you are Division I in basketball you are required to be Division I or I-AA in football. You can't be D2, D3, or NAIA.
November 12, 201411 yr Oh lets relive the past by reading this: BY DARRELL S. PRESSLEY The Cincinnati Enquirer HIGHLAND HEIGHTS - Northern Kentucky University regents said yes to creating a new football program Wednesday and launched a search for a coach to be able to kick off by the fall of 1999. With a 7-2 vote, the Board of Regents voted in favor of starting football, making the women's soccer club a varsity team and phasing in women's golf, swimming and track and field over several years. ''I'm very pleased,'' said interim President Jack Moreland. ''I think it's the right thing to do." Northern Kentucky Norse - The Enquirer - January 30, 1997 There is even a picture of the helmet. Nice!!!!!

I must have missed those discussions but I believe an NKU degree is as good as any you'll find in the state. NKU tops Kentucky college return-on-investment rankings

November 13, 201411 yr Author How do I not remember that? What happened from here? Makes us feel really old.
November 13, 201411 yr What can we do to help get NKU a football team? Just think if we had a D1 NKY college football team wouldn't that be awesome? Have Hoge at QB? Powell at RB? Winkler at WR? Drew Moore being a play maker? Wouldn't be awesome? They would have a huge O-line also. Alot of good talent in NKY I would love to see this happen. They could have a huge O-line next year. Ryle Ross 6'2 290 Campbell County kid 6'6 290 SK Olmstead 6'4 310 SK Vercheak 6'5 265 Newport Johnson 6'3 315 You say you want NKU to be a D1 football team and then your list 1 or 2 potential D1/1-AA kids and a bunch of D3 kids. That would make it tough for NKU to win.

November 13, 201411 yr Author I'm not saying it. Most of the D1 coaches are saying it. Some of those kids have D1 offers.
November 13, 201411 yr Some of those kids have D1 offers. Some as in 1 or 2 which is what I said initially. The vast majority of players you listed are not D1. Hard to win D1 games with D3 players.
