New England 43 Denver 21

Featured Replies

And Denver looked really bad. Home field advantage could have been won by the Pats today. A month ago they were done and Brady was old. Now they are the best team in the AFC.

Craziness.

Looks like that ambush I called for came to pass.

Foxboro is the kryptonite for Peyton...

Shows there was no reason for people to overreact like they did after the Bengals got pounded by the Pats. The Pats are a very good team, especially when they are at home. They once again played great!

It sure would have been nice to have had Gronkowski on the field healthy last January in Denver. I know this is the NFL and you are supposed to overcome injuries, but a healthy Gronk takes the Patriots from a good team to a SB contender.

Looking at the schedules, the Pats have a much tougher row to hoe. The Broncos have played most of the tough teams on their schedule. Personally I would say home field Denver.

True but if they end up with the same record the Pats get homefield. They both have pretty soft divisional games left to play also. The only way Denver makes the Super Bowl is if they have homefield advantage and for now that's out of their control.

Wait, you mean New England beat an AFC team in Foxboro? Crazy, never would've seen that coming. A true shocker. :D

Peyton's career should be labeled: Property of Tom Brady.

Brady does not get enough credit for his arm strength. Whenever I hear about guys with the strongest arms, I hear about Cutler and Flacco. Brady has an absolute gun. Those frozen ropes he was throwing in a strong wind yesterday were impressive.

Beating an AFC team in Foxboro is one thing. Completely and totally dominating the best team in the NFL in Foxboro is another. I'm not surprised that they won. I'm surprised at how they won. Very impressive to say the least.

It was a clinic, but not in the fashion of the Superbowl. Manning threw a bad pick early and the Pats did not look back. The pick set up a really short field for a TD; the Broncos bobble a punt, mess up the timing and a questionable no call for an Edelman punt return; then, Welker drops a perfect throw which New England returns for another short score. Also, the Pats converted what seemed like every third down. Having Gronk makes them unguardable. Dude is a monster. Peyton was not good by any means, but it was not a Manning face type performance.

Also, when the Broncos can't run the ball they become a lot more pedestrian.
