November 2, 201411 yr Anyone else go? We went to 6:30 Sat show... Garth and his band KILLED IT! RUPP had some trouble getting people in for the second show both nights but Brooks waited for everyone to get it. Friday night he was on stage til 1:30 - 2:00 am I think. But even people that stood in the lines for the late shows said it was worth it. FWIW within 40 minutes of the show ending we were through traffic and at Red Robin...Yum! Got out crazy easy. Lex PD did a great job!
November 2, 201411 yr I was at the Saturday 6:30 show too. Fantastic show. Homer Bailey was there too.
November 3, 201411 yr Mrs C and I went to the 6:30 show on Friday. Fantastic performance. Almost wish Trisha wasn't there. Not that she was bad, it's just Garth was so awesome, would have liked to see him do 3 more song.
November 3, 201411 yr I am so sad to say that I went to the 6:30 Friday show. I loathe country music and really didn't want to go. But my wife wanted to go and we went. She loved it, I mean, loved it. I thought it was ok. I swear to you I had never heard most of the songs he played early such as "The River", "Rodeo", "Unanswered Prayers", etc. I had heard a few of the songs. I was standing in amazement as the crowd and I mean, everyone, but me was singing every song. I just never listen to country music or recent pop. He is an entertainer and full of it with his act, by playing to the crowd. They ate it up. It was so fake to me I found it almost laughable. Gotta give it to him, he is a very wealthy man.

I've been to so many concerts where the band/performer just went through the motions as if the crowd was barely there is was nice to see some interaction from him, even if some question his sincerity. Imagine how wealthy he'd be if he hadn't taken most of the last 10 years off, there is probably $200 million he won't get back...:lol2: I did see somewhere that he's worth about a fourth of what Toby Keith is, Brooks is at around $150M
November 3, 201411 yr Saw this morning where a Facebook friend posted a rant about how disappointed she was about paying for seats in the fifth rown only to see Garth lip-sinking half of his songs. She had some a phone video that she posted along with her rant....and it would certainly appear that she's right.

November 3, 201411 yr Both of my sisters went. Saw Jim Schue stage diving. You mistook his suicide attempt. :sssh:
November 3, 201411 yr Wasn't he making a $1 million per night at the Wynn in Las Vegas for at least the last two years? Seems like he made about $20M per year.
November 3, 201411 yr Our son went, had good seats and said the show was really good. I went to Garth Brooks last show in Rupp a number of years ago, and I lived up to my promise to never do it again.
November 3, 201411 yr Author Wasn't he making a $1 million per night at the Wynn in Las Vegas for at least the last two years? Not that much....I wouldn't think. That theater only seated 1500. I read that around 300,000 saw him in the 5 years he was in Vegas. Tickets were $140 at first then Wynn raised them to $240...I don't know what the split between them was. He made some big Bank out there but my point was that he left a ton on the table by just part timing it out there.
