No different than you jumping the gun today saying he won't. Plenty of time for him to prove himself capable of playing in the NFL. I'm thinking he has two and a half years left.

I didn't say he wouldn't. If you read what I said last week in the PT and the NFL thread I said that it was WAY to soon to know and after next season would be much better gauge on his NFL possibility.

IMO, this team has taken major strides across the board. This was obviously a poor game for a variety of reasons. This team just hasn't learned to win on the road yet, youth and inexperience definitely shows at times. Each year forward will hopefully be a progression. I for one, remain optimistic.

No problem. If Towles was a senior and he didn't get drafted you'd be the first one on here saying, "see, I told you he wouldn't get drafted." The tone and context of your post reads like you are saying he won't go pro and that he's not good enough to go pro. I've seen you run this kind of game many many times on here. I basically said the same thing you said with a different outcome. I said too early to say he won't go pro. You said it's too early to say he will go pro. Same thing said, different outcome. Unlike you I'm hoping for the best.

Our trip to Columbia was great with one exception; the game.

People there were great. Bar scene was pretty good. RV lot was a lot of fun.

Not even close. I never ever said I didn't want him to get drafted. Actually I said the same thing you said and that this year only after a handful of games is way too early to judge. I said in the other thread and said it a couple times that I hope and want him to get to the next level and that after next year would be a much better way to judge his potential at the next level.

Oh, btw, you in the other thread is the one who said he wasn't Mentally a NFL QB and so I guess you will be the first to say "I told you so" if he doesn't make it. As you posted and I quote

I simply said in my post in this thread that the way he played is exactly why we need to wait until next year and see how he fares and that after 1 game is a little pre mature and we should all give the kid time to mature etc. Now even though you were the one who clearly said he wouldn't make it because according to you he couldn't handle it mentally and yet you are here telling everyone I'm the one who said he won't make it?

Only WR that can get open consistently hardly played today because of his hands. Personally I'd rather have Timmons, even with his drop problems, out there then Herrick. You don't even have to guard Herrick when he's in.

Every receiver drops passes, D. Robinson, B. Bone (a lot ), even J. Blue. But they are so hard on Ryan as a sophomore and expect so much out of him. For only playing about 20mins of the game he had 4 catches for 40 yards. He's #10 in the SEC as a sophomore in WR..pretty good if you ask me... His hands will get better, remember he's only a soph. putting up Senior numbers.

Timmons has all the tools to be succesful at this level. I think what he needs is confidence. I think hearing what the coaches said about him going into last weeks game and then what happened in that game has him mentally not ready for the game.

 

If he gets past that I think he'd be an awesome and huge contributor for the Cats.

You're making it a point to address what people have said one way or another. I'm simply making an observation. You can defelct all you want but you're still talking to people about what they have said instead of simply talking abut Towles.

It's no game buddy, it's you pulling things out of thin air and you got corrected, not just by me but by the other member who commented right after your post in here when you said I said he wouldn't make it in the NFL.

The staff are making inroads; both the Cats and PT need to be more consistent. The biggest chore is to get all three aspects of the game humming at the same time and the same tune. Georgia can be had. Go Cats!

I'm excited about the team.

UK won 3 games last year? I think they are right on pace for what many of us fans were hoping for and that was clear improvement and it is definitely showing this year. They have a chance for a bowl game this year, don't think anyone can be upset with that chance at all.

A better description may have been, "They are showing promise are are getting closer but they are not at the point yet of being a good team, compared to their level of competition atleast."
