November 3, 201411 yr Timmons has all the tools to be succesful at this level. I think what he needs is confidence. I think hearing what the coaches said about him going into last weeks game and then what happened in that game has him mentally not ready for the game. If he gets past that I think he'd be an awesome and huge contributor for the Cats. And I agree with you. Timmons lets the media, coaches, social media and other things get into his head mentally. Sitting him out against Miss St. & Missouri (not starting him) I'm pretty sure was a big mental strategy for Stoop and Brown. But I think when you do this to a kid at this level of play coming off such a great high school performance career you kind of slap them in the face and cause them to lose confidence im themselves. Give them a pat on the back and tell them to work harder it will come. Timmons will be solid his junior and senior year. No worries he's doing what he can for his team. Also, why is Jo Jo Kemp not getting many touches? Was the hero in SC game now barely gets 3 touches. :idunno:

November 3, 201411 yr That's a good question. Is he in the doghouse? 4th on the depth chart. Specialist obviously.
November 3, 201411 yr Towes needs to quit locking on to his receivers. The opponents would have had several pick 6's this year if the DL(who also knew exactly where the ball was going) had not knocked the pass down before it got to the DB's. Towes is not comfortable stepping up into the pocket yet either, which would buy him time on most plays, but hopefully that will come eventually. His Wr's have got to get more physical and also learn to set their routes up better to get open.
November 3, 201411 yr That's a good question. Is he in the doghouse? Kemp must be in the doghouse or either is a detriment in the passing game. He is a much more physical runner than Heard, who tends to go down on first contact. Just based on running ability against SEC caliber teams, Heard would be 4th on my depth chart. I have not watched a practice, so I may not know what I'm talking about either...
November 3, 201411 yr Here's a question. Why didn't UK go for the field goal late in the 4th instead of going for it on 4th down? Would have made it a one possession game. They needed two scores either way, so why not take the field goal that was available, and then worry about going for the touchdown if you can get the ball back?
