The implication is that the tiny village of Sauk City set its office hours to make it difficult for minority voters to obtain photo IDs. Those of us who have lived in small towns know how quickly one can get from one side of such a small town to the other and how government offices often restrict hours for certain services based on the available staff. The Sauk City office is obviously a satellite office aimed at making it more convenient for people to get licenses and photo IDs by saving them a trip to the county seat. Those who choose not to take advantage of the Sauk City office hours are left with the daunting challenge of obtaining transportation to Baraboo, which is a 21 minute drive away. If this was a case of voter suppression, why would Sauk County officials even bothered with processing licenses and voter IDs in Sauk City at all? Conspiracy nuts and their wacky theories...:lol2:

Anyone who whines about lack of photo ID for voting is a fool or partisan. It is non, non issue. And if it is. God help those impacted now. The Federal Government is planning on REQUIRING photo IDs for access to government in the near future. Where will all these (supposedly) poor smucks be then when they have to access a court house? Its a fales issue. Lack of photo ID is used for fraud - period.

How did a greater percentage of blacks vote? Yes, more whites than blacks voted in '12, but a greater percentage of blacks (as opposed to whites) who were eligible to vote did indeed cast ballots two years ago -- which is what that 13 percent figure is about.
