PepRock01....thanks. So Trinity and Cincy StX played those 6 years and it was split 3-3. To me, I would rather see the 2 teams start the series again,than have Trinity play within KY. I do not feel it benefits Trinity at all (except it's a game within the borders.

I really hope that Belfry or Johnson Central work this out.

It might not benefit Trinity but it will JC ALOT, so why not try to contact them and work out a deal? Just Imagine if JC places Trinity in their schedule and let's just say make the games competitive. How many of us doubters would get off JC's back... But from all that we are reading, sounds like JC will not make an attempt to contact their AD. Would have been good to see.

This is much discussed topic over the years but 6 classes for 220 teams is absolutely insane. Teams that win 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 games in a season should not be in the playoffs. Before anyone goes crazy on me, I know it will not change any time soon. It is crazy though.

 

I never understood why we went to 6 classes, it should be no more than 4 at the most. Would love to get another top KY team on the schedule, regardless of class.

Simon Kenton thought there was a "Purge" scheduled that week.

Does the school system they are part of allow them to play private schools? Belfry's coach may very well like to play Trinity but those above him may tie his hands behind his back. I don't ask this in an accusatory manner, I really don't know what the situation is like for Belfry.

 

Belfry played two Private Schools this year.

 

Christian Acad. of Knoxville and Gallia Academy.

 

They have also played Cov. Holy Cross, Lou. Holy Cross, and NewCath over the past decade.

 

Would love to see Belfry step up and play Trinity. Pirates should have a really good team the next two years...maybe not Trinity good...but competitive enough to test them.

Just throwing it out there... but in 2016 a Belfry game may have a little cache. I expect the Pirates to have two legitimate D-1 prospects and maybe a 3rd on a smaller scale. Horton has the potential to be a big time prospect and the Bentley kid has been getting attention from major programs since his 8th Grade year. The Corbett kid has a long ways to go but with his athleticism I could see him being a low end prospect for a WKU, Marshall, or FCS schools. All three kids are Sophomores.

 

Completely hypothetical and a long ways off..but if that pans out and especially if Horton blows up on his recruitment.. this could be a chance for Trinity to lure some television cameras.

Maybe - Maybe not. I understand there are some teams who very much do not want to play those first round games . 4's going against 1's- where outcome is certain and injuries are feared.
