Colts 27 Bengals 0

Looked to me like the Bengals mailed it in; they were getting gashed. Not a pretty sight.

I was spending the day in Harry Potter land at Universal Studios and Island of Adventure in Orlando and I can't stand Harry Potter. Even bought the wife a wand which is the biggest farce money maker you can think of. All of that and I would take my day over having to sit through what sounded like the same ole Bungles again.

It could and should have been worse.

The Bengals defense has given up 1500 yards in the last three weeks. That is offensive!

The previous two games it was in the defense. The defense actually played pretty well today. If the bengals offense could do anything the colts dont come close to what they got yardage wise. If the bengals had played as bad on defense today as the last two weeks it would have been over a thousand yards given up in this game.

It was a team loss today. Actually special teams played well. A ton of punts and it did not hurt. Offense was terrible and that put pressure on the defense. The defense was okay given how much they were on the field and how many players they were missing. They kept the Bengals in the game as long as they could. But honestly the Colts offense was not that good. They were sloppy and dropped some balls and Luck just missed some throws.

Defense still have up 27 points. I don't care how much some say they played good today. Without seeing the game I do know you can't win many games by giving up 27 points. If I'm not mistaken, the defense has given up over 100 points in the last 3 games.

I've been coaching soccer all afternoon and just seen the score. What the heck happened?

If I had to give grades out of 100 I would go:

Special Teams 85

Defense 50

Offense 10 (And that is only because they had 0 turnovers).

The Bengals were lucky that the Halftime score was only 10 zip, and that they even still had a chance going into the Second Half.

It could easily have been worse.

The bengals were playing the number one offense in the nfl who average over 30 points a game. The bengals had 9 straight three and outs and didnt get first first down until 30 seconds left in the half. Even with that they held the colts to ten points. The bengals defense didnt give up a single third down conversion the whole first half and gave up only a couple all game. The defensive line was actually putting pressure on Luck today. All this while the Colts had the ball for 40 minutes and the bengals only 20. It wasnt because of long drives either it was because the bengals offense kept giving the ball back after three plays. Seattles defense would have even given up a ton of yards in this situation. So yes the defense did actually play pretty well today and kept them in the game. Even though the offense looked worse than the 90 bengals offense with Akili Smith.

Its quite simple the first three weeks the bengals looked like a great team. The last three games they have looked like a bad team. With all that said you can look around the league and see other teams people considered as top teams having two or three losses too. It will all come down to if they can find away to overcome this bad stretch and turn it around before its to late.

They have no downfield threat . The offense was vanilla.

A team considered good and losing a few is one thing, but the last three weeks without a win, and what they did in those three games is another.

The last two games before today the bengals gave up over 900 yards. And including today two of their games were lopsided loses.

This team is going nowhere fast.
