Colts 27 Bengals 0

Featured Replies

Not much left you can really say about this one. Any chance they rebound at home against a pretty hot Ravens team?

They have to have Green to stretch the field and take the defenses attention off of Gio or Sanu. Their offensive line which is relatively healthy must play a lot better. Can they, sure, will they, I have real doubts.

The Colts packed the box mixed in man to man and zone. They doubled Sanu and kept a really close eye on Gio and Hill. If the Ravens don't do that, I have no idea what they are thinking. The Bengals had no answer. Not sure they have the personnel at WR with Green and Jones out to get open. The Colts are a good defense, but not as great as they looked yesterday in their other games.

The defense still can't stop the run. It is a bunch of things right now. They have Baltimore, Jax, and Cleveland all at home the next three. They need to win all three, because 5 of the next 7 are on the road where they are 4-8 in their last 12 road games. They should win at least two of them, but if they play like the last three weeks, they will lose all three.

I think so. The two units that are pretty much injury free, DL and Ol need to take a long hard look in the mirror. They really let the team down yesterday. Also I think they need to take a look at Geno Atkins. He is giving them zero right now.

They are done already? I am glad this talk is already happening again lol. The bengals have done better when people have said they are done or cant make the playoffs over the last few years. So hopefully this talk ends up the same and the bengals prove people wrong who give up on them quickly.

They have played horrible recently. However they have three straight home games and especially if they can find away to beat the ravens next week, then they are right back in a good situation.

i'm not saying they won't make the playoffs becauSe our division is horrible. I will say they won't do much if anything in the playoffs if they make it and you can write that one down. No way they sniff a super bowl which once again equates to another wasted year. For a team supposedly as good as this team, they are well past the rebuilding stage and have done so 4 times since Marvin has been here and still nothing to show for it.

Yea theyhave no no shot in the post season I garuntee it.

This was one of the most painful games I've ever watched.

Colts key in on Sanu who is the only true WR threat we have right now, so no throwing game.

Dalton with pressure on him the WHOLE game. On his butt.

Burfict is an idiot. I love him, but he's an idiot. The guy won't even make it 2 more seasons with the way he bangs his head up. His brain will be mush. Stop (clap) leading (clap) with (clap) your (clap) head (clap).

Peko is starting to wear down...

Andre Smith should be working the line at McDs, not playing football on Sundays. My good lord in heaven he is horrendous.

We just aren't healthy right now. I don't think it's a matter of being a bad team. So many key parts are missing. If we can even get 75% of those parts back, we're a very solid team.

This week coming up will be the test. If they can beat the HOT Ravens at home then I may retract my statement but everybody and their brother is saying pretty much the same thing today on Talk Radio.

I am also with Malachi.....Atkins is not even half the player he was at full strength. Peko has also lost a step.

Dunlap had a great game.

Nobody has questioned the horrible play calling to start the game by the OC.

All he kept saying was how he wanted to run run run this year and he starts off the game with two ridiculous pass plays. You dont have the studs at WR....Line up and use those fat lineman and run the football. Keep the ball in your hands....do not let the Ginger throw the ball more than 20 times a game. They ran the ball 12 times yesterday. This is the stat that stands out to me most. They didnt have to abandon the run in this game until they got down in the 3rd qtr.

I think the opposite this year. The last few years I felt very confident that they will make the playoffs, but never guaranteed anything once they got in. I usually just said once your in, then anything is possible. For this team I still think they can make the playoffs, but with the key injuries they have had with people like Green, and Burfict I am not quite as confident. I think if this team can just find away to make it, then I think this team will be the first team to actually do something in the playoffs and win. I think the Bengals will match up well in the playoffs, especially if they get somewhat healthy by then and with Eifert back. The big question is if they can get into the playoffs this year, that is my worry right now.

Actually I questioned the play calling in the update thread and on here, because I agree the play calling wasn't great at all.

As for all the people saying that on talk radio today on how they are now done. Those same people just three weeks ago were also saying this team was a legit Super Bowl contender. Just like it probably was to soon to crown them as a Super Bowl team after week 3, it is too soon to say they are done after just 6 games. They have three straight home games, and then 3 straight road games but most of those road games are very winnable. It honestly will come down to if they can stop having all these injuries IMO.

I have watched Geno very closely this year. I didn't see him doing much of anything the first three weeks or the New England game. However the last two weeks I have seen him start to get the same push he use to get. He is starting to take his guy and drive him back again, and did very well yesterday as getting pressure in the face of Luck to make him miss some throws. So while he is not completely back to his old self, I have seen more from him the last two weeks.

So, I haven't seen anything yet (been working), did Peyton Manning break Brett Farve's record yesterday?

Yes by 2 TDs. He threw 4 yesterday.

Very true, but you also have to look closer than that. So far total tackles Geno has had in seasons are 10,26,39, and only 9 last year after 9 games played before the injury. So only one year has he ever averaged more than 2 tackles a game for a season, and that has been when he has been completely healthy. Yes he definitely is not the old Geno Atkins right now, but if you have watched his play since the start of the year until now he is starting to get it back. At the beginning of the year he wasn't even getting any push. Now even though he still hasn't gotten that sack, or many tackles still. He is starting to take his guy and blow him back like he use to do. That is why I am not as concerned because based off what I have seen he has made progress from the start of the year to the beginning. Now what hurts though is we need him to be old Geno, and he isn't there yet.

3 tackles and 4 assists for the season. Not sure what you're seeing, but he was non existent yesterday. I know from reading your posts with HB that you are not strictly a cold hard facts kind of guy, which sometimes I do agree with you. But eventually we have to take notice of production numbers.

Defense still have up 27 points. I don't care how much some say they played good today. Without seeing the game I do know you can't win many games by giving up 27 points. If I'm not mistaken, the defense has given up over 100 points in the last 3 games.

I don't think anyone is mistaking the defense for playing 'good' but they weren't 'bad' either. They had a few plays that would have had an impact had the offense not been totally inept.

0 tackles 0 assists.
