I don't think they are as fast as they have been. DH was the epitome of "Strength punishes but Speed kills".

On D yes. What about Dixies O line pushing SKs O line back on almost every snap?? Is that speed??

Well if Dixie wants to have a shot against the big boys they have to be able to throw the ball.

Sk's coaches lost this game for them right from the get go. You can not run a 3-5 defense, send 3 LB's into the same gaps every time and think its just eventually going to work. There was no one in the next level to do the tackling. Sending Deaton on the outside rush every run down left no contain and Dixie exploited it, pinched him inside or ran right up the middle. Dixie's Off Line left huge holes to run in that a LB that was where he should have been, should have easily closed the gap, but there was no one there because they were blitzed into other gaps. Dixie, saw that and went with it, kudos to Dixie. The one SK corner got blocked all night and Dixie kept running that way.

 

The SK coaches looked like deer in headlights at halftime when I walked by the locker room. Dixie still didn't impress me, but heck they didn't really need but 5 plays to beat SK tonight.

No doubt they will against a Bryan Station, Louisville school or Scott Co. However, they are so much better than the other 6A schools in NKY, they don't have to. That is an issue, but you can't blame them. They still will be tough to handle.

You know I was wondering about that myself, I think they did because of the way they attempted to blitz, it didn't work.

And I have to say...the Ft Thomas Police dept has been looking all over Ft Thomas for those footsteps you keep talking about. I called it in the other day. Told them we were worried about hearing footsteps. But the problem is, they have been looking for BLUE foot prints. I wish you would have told me they were RED!

Maybe SK should play a few of them big O linemen both ways. Dixie does it worked for them.....

I didn't get to watch this one like I had hoped. Moore only had 7 pass attempts. That can't happen. Did SK not sell out against the run and force the pass?

 

May have already been answered, but I can remember several of them. I know there was a long pass in the first half in the far endzone that went right thru the receivers hands. Should have been caught. Also a beautiful pass from about 30 yards out that the receiver just dropped. And then about 2-4 over throws of guys WIDE open.

 

In all honesty, this game could have been a lot worse. If Dixie hadn't have shot themselves in the foot with penalties in key times and even hit half the receivers that were open, it would have been a lot worse. And I'm not saying that to make the SK fans mad. Just my true opinion... and yes, I was there.

SK has been running the 3-5 alot lately. Their starting safety Noble is out. #26 Carter and #37 has been playing a bunch lately.
