I must have personally turned this game around, :D. Reason I am saying this I had no longer signed off from posting on the update thread that this one (14-3 ULM) was looking like that UK was coming off a huge high last week and looking ahead to next game, that it was ugly flashbacks from the Joker / no player emotion days -- U.K. scored, had an int., scored again and took off from there.

So, fellow U.K. fans ..... you're welcome. :).

As for the game, not a lot to say other than after the 1st Qtr. / slow start it went about as expected. The Defense looked great !

5-1 and looking good ! I do think that the Cats will get another win / upset somewhere in the rest of the schedule and go to a low to mid level bowl, which is very good for this program now.

Coach Stoops is not re building U.K.. Stoops is building U.K. Football from the ground / sewer up. Lets facd it, there was no football program when he got here.

It's unbelievable to think that with just a few plays here and there against Florida that this team could be 6-0 right now.

I don't know as much about football as most who post on here, but I figured this team for no more than 4 wins when the season began.

Main difference in today vs. 2 years ago. The team 2 years ago falls behind 14-3 and is in a close game the rest of the way.

Just now watching it--it's the late 3rd quarter right now--but two catches were WOW catches: Blake Bone's non-TD at the end of the 1st half. It'll go down as an incomplete pass, but jeez. And then Javess Blue's TD catch in the 3rd quarter was amazing.

Didn't like the slow start, and I thought Towles especially struggled in the 1st quarter, but they took care of business from then on.

Hard to believe half of the regular season is over. This young group will get tested every week from here on out. They've already exceeded my expectations for the year, but I'd really like to go bowling.

Amazing what happens when you have a team player and a leader as your quarterback!

Are you saying Max Smith wasn't a team player ?

Well he did leave the team when Stoops asked him to be a team player and change positions, didn't he?

Smh... Max Smith is the ultimate team player. He stayed on the team even when they pretty muchbsaid he had no chance to play anymore. He's basically a player coach now and seems to relish that role. Great influence for PT
