Harrison County and Holmes the next two weeks - those are wins. Conner in the last game - I know Conner is getting better but that is a win. First round playoff is almost surely a win. I think 4 straight wins is almost a no brainer. Who would CCH play in round 2 of the playoffs?

That might be trouble, but JC is a lot like SK - great record against a bad schedule so you never know how good they really are till you play them. JC has played one of the weakest schedules of any 4A team.

Well... That's what I'm pulling for anyway.

I hate to sound like the "I know something you don't know," or "I saw this coming guy," but I was told by a couple very good sources that CovCath wasn't very good and that defensively they were pretty bad. This was the week of the Highlands game.

 

I doubt the ensuing results have anyone at Highlands overly worried about the Colonels.

Stinkyboy II thinks there may not be a second time around if CovCath doesn't play any better than they have the last three weeks.

CovCath gets the upmost respect from the Highlands programs and we fully expect CovCath to be there in Nov and we also full expect them to think nothing less than they will beat Highlands...

If CovCath gets healthy and survives the trip to "Johnsonville" the regional final could be interesting. These two programs have met 16 times in the playoffs and history (13 out of 16) says the regular season winner will win there have bee some dramatic turn arounds in the second game. In 1992 CCH won in season 41-21 and HHS won in playoffs 14-7, 1994 CCH won both 42-6 but only 7-3 in playoffs, 1995 HHS won both 48-18 but only 3-0 in the playoffs, 2001 HHS won regular season 52-22 but CCH won the playoff game 18-15, 2007 HHS won both 28-14 but 40-0 in playoffs, 2011 HHS won 42-37 but won 49-14 in playoffs, 2013 HHS won both 42-6 when CovCath was banged up and 28-13 in the playoffs. Just saying that about half of the playoff games these two play don't resemble the regular season.

I would have agreed with you 100% 3 weeks ago that Conner was a win. The way things have gone for both teams the past few weeks I'm not so sure it's a "lock" anymore.
