theguru Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 StraightShooter CovCath will heal up, win 5 games in a row to go into the 3rd round of the playoffs with an 8-4 record as an underdog vs the Birds. Probably play a great game that could go either way. And, it's not out of the question they pull the upset on Highlands and go on to win state. Stranger things have happened. http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-football-high/dave-wirth-trouble-287133-page3.html#post5220509
Cynical Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Uh, no....it's time we all admit what is pretty obvious...Cov. Cath., for the most part, stinks. I bought in on them early, but I was wrong.
snakesnot_2000 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 No way, the physiological damage to CCH is permanent for this season.
theguru Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 No one took Shooter as being serious. It wouldn't be un-CCH like for something similar to happen.
stinkyboy II Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Stinkyboy II thinks there may not be a second time around if CovCath doesn't play any better than they have the last three weeks.
Clyde Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 It wouldn't be un-CCH like for something similar to happen. They haven't beaten HHS in 8 years. It WOULD be un-CCH like to beat them this year.

SportsGuy41017 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 No! Two months ago I was all over CCH and thought if they didn't win the first game Vs Highlands that it would be very close, and win the playoff game. I don't see the next game being within 3-4 TD's.
StraightShooter Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 No one took Shooter as being serious. I took myself serious LOL! I never give up on kids or a team and especially not one like CovCath that has some very good athletes and coaches. They have some good games coming up to allow folks to get healed and gain confidence with a 5-game winning streak heading in to their rematch with the Birds on Nov 21. Let's see what happens.

I took you seriously Shooter. If CCH heals up, they are TALENTED and can make a run. Look what has happened to CCH the last month. What happens if in the next month, Hoge goes down with an injury for HHS? He is arguably the MVP of NKY because if he goes down, HHS takes a significant step backwards. If HHS and CCH go into a playoff game healthy, HHS has to be a solid favorite but remember we are talking about high school kids here. It is possible for CCH to make the game very interesting.

Voice of Reason Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Harrison County and Holmes the next two weeks - those are wins. Conner in the last game - I know Conner is getting better but that is a win. First round playoff is almost surely a win. I think 4 straight wins is almost a no brainer. Who would CCH play in round 2 of the playoffs?
