Another Police Shooting in St Louis

Not every cop is an expert marksman...some can't shoot when it's not static training.

Should be open and shut if he had a gun and fired. Prints, touch DNA will be on the gun and the rounds on in the mag.

It doesnt matter what the ballistics say, there are certain people who will never believe it and will only add fuel to the already burning fire.

On a side note, has the FBI released any info about the Brown case.

No doubt, people will flat out lie on the police.

So a few number of bad cops will always give some doubt.

Yikes.

Can't view that from work. What does the video show?

I don't know much about this story but what he got on audio could mean anything. Is there any reason he didn't get the threats to frame him on audio or did they choose not to show that for some reason?

I never saw the video of the cop doing that. Only the interviews. Did I miss it somewhere>

Well, there is no middle ground in this event really. One side is totally lying, either the witnesses are lying and the deceased did shoot at the cop, or the cops are lying and there wasn't gun and/or the officer wasn't shot at. The truth SHOULD be easy to determine in this case. And recent history in this very area shows us that witnesses to an event like this...even witnesses literally involved in the event...will straight up lie through their teeth if for no other reason than they personally hate the police.

The only questions I have are

How did the off duty cop/Security Officer identify himself, and was he in a uniform or plain clothes?

I always thought as a security officer, you are only allowed to observe and report, and not engage in pursuits. Times have changed I guess.

He was in full St Louis PD uniform. Chief says it's no different than what they wear when they work a Cardinals game.

My point has nothing to do with it being factual or not.

It's out there for the public to hear. The public will read into it anything they want to read into it. I posted it to answer the "no matter what ballistics say.." post above as to why some will NOT believe the police.

If.....IF, that is all good info, then it sounds like the shooting was justified. But just like the case in Ferguson, early information is often suspect...need to let it play out a few days to see if anything other than riots develop out of this case.
