GC_Lions Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Everybody thought boyle was going to walk in a dominate this game. What most didn't realize is hiw big of a rivalry this has become over the years. Never county out anybody in a rivalry game. Catholic probably played their best game to win, but thats what rivalries bring out in teams! Great game! Can't wait for Garrard to join Catholic's and Boyle's district next season!!
theguru Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 In the pick 10 I did a quick run through and I think there was only one member that picked LexCath to win.
PurplePride92 Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 In the pick 10 I did a quick run through and I think there was only one member that picked LexCath to win. People have been dogging LexCath all season because they "haven't won the games they usually win". They are still and always will be a quality team even if some other teams have caught up with them.
Knights Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Really good game. Catholic controlled throughout but Boyle made it real interesting in the 2nd Half. 2 fumbles deep in Boyle territory by LC hurt them considerably. Reese Ryan played great and the O-Line did very, very well. Defense had their best performance of the season. Like the Catholic faithful have been saying if we were healthy we could produce a good unit. This should lock up home field advantage for the inevitable rematch. On a side note these Refs need to learn what a horse collar is, they didn't call it twice on Catholic and missed one on Boyle County that knocked Jaylen Jones out for the rest of the game (Jaylen is alright, he said he could have played if they really needed him).
LEX Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Refs blew it on both sides. 2 huge no calls on both teams. Each got away with horse collars. One play LC ripped a helmet off from a face mask no call. And Boyle for a face mask on Jones was a huge no call. All in all this outcome will be great for both teams. I thought every kid gave it their all.

Maybe, but there was no call that could have gone to Boyle the play before at the goal line.
PurplePride92 Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 Pretty sure NOBODY picked LexCath in the CKY contest this week. I saw a bunch of 7-Boyle County in there. Myself included.
katbird Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Don't want to hear anything else about Boyle being #1 in 4a..........please!
