This one's a Friday night special.

Before the season started, I thought this was possibly the game that could turn Louisville's season. At that point, I thought it might be the difference between an 8-4 and a 9-3 season... now it feels more like we're shooting for bowl eligibility. Ugh.

At any rate, turns out this game is going to be a big deal.

Will Gardner is back practicing but you've got to think Bonnafon's likely going to get the start again. Can the line protect him enough to get a couple touchdowns on the board? Can the defense continue to win games for Louisville?

Who wins and why?

Anti-Randy do you think the Cards get 6 for Bowl Eligibility if they lose this one?

That schedule doesn't look like the walk over everyone was predicting 3 months ago.

@ Clemson looks to be a fight on the road

vs. NC State now looks much tougher than it did in August, but it's at home

vs. FSU was always going to be tough

@ Boston College, beating USC makes then very dangerous...this was a solid win in August

@ Notre Dame, can this Card's team go to South Bend and win this one?

vs. Kentucky, Layup game to end the season, right?

I think Cards get this one, 24-17!

Other than FIU, I've gone home team each time. Syracuse is solid, I'm going with the home team again.

I wasn't very impressed with Syracuse last week when they played Notre Dame, but that is the only time that I have watched them. They should have trouble scoring on Louisville's D, so I think if the Cards can put up around 20 points they should be able to get the win.

NC State and BC are NOT good football teams. BC may have beaten USC, but they also got hammered by a really lousy Pitt team. And before hammering Presbyterian and USF, NC State needed fourth-quarter comebacks to beat Old Dominion and Georgia Southern.

That said, Louisville is NOT a good football team. They're a good defense and a bunch of confused children everywhere else. The lousy special teams play is nothing new. We couldn't play special teams to save our lives under Charlie Strong and so I'm basically used to it.

Anything is possible as far as bowl eligibility because even with a loss here, Louisville can still be bowl eligible with home wins against NC State and UK. And the game at BC is still a possibility if Reggie can get more comfortable outside the pocket.

I don't know how many designed runs there were for Bonnafon last week, but I think we're about to start seeing more.

After all that, we're a really bizarre bungled punt away from being 5-0, so it's hard to think Louisville can't still win some games here.

Louisville 24-13.

This game is extremely important, if I'm being honest.

Louisville needs to play its best game on both sides of the ball to win this game.

Big game for the Cards. Must win if it's going to be considered a good season. I hope the offense from the first two weeks of the season shows up.

Yeah, whatever happened to Dom Brown and his 240 pounds at running back?

Petrino is more willing than Strong was to "ride the hot hand" for lack of a better descriptor. He had three different running backs carry the ball in Louisville's opening series last weekend. As soon as it became apparent that Radcliff was in the zone, Petrino kept handing it to him. It was Brown in Week 1 and it could be again, but I think he's going to continue opening games with the whole stable and seeing who's really feeling it that day.

Bobby felt that Dom put the ball on the carpet twice Saturday, that's why he was subbed out....I felt they were on Reggie.....but I concede to him.

They were definitely Reggie. One of them Dom was a half yard or more past him, and put it on his hip.
