Montgomery County 4 Campbell County 2

Featured Replies

Campbell Co scored about 10 minutes in to take a 1-0 lead. Montgomery Co then scored to provide the halftime 1-1 score.

The second half was all Montgomery Co as they dominated possession and scored the first 3 goals of the half to take a 4-1 lead. The second goal of the half came on a miscommunication between a Camel defender and the goalie. A long outlet (may have been a punt from the Indian keeper) was rolling toward the box. The defender was trying to hold off a Montgomery Co striker, but the goalie didn't make it out to the ball in time, and the Indians were able to chip it in, taking a 3-1 lead.

The Camels changed keepers after the third goal, and the Indians scored again on a corner that appeared to be deflected in by the new goalie.

With a 4-1 lead and about 5 minutes left, Montgomery Co brought in about 5 subs, including a new goalie. The Camels proceeded to score on this new unit almost immediately to bring the final score to 4-2.

The first half was pretty evenly played, but the second half, the Indians were able to keep the pressure on, and the Camels made a couple of mistakes which allowed the Indians to pull away with a solid win.
