Their opponents have also averaged 34.33 points against them. Simon Kenton beat them 33-14.

Fully realizing coaches polls mean nothing...it does make me chuckle that losing to a top 20 nationally ranked team gets you dropped below a team that has beaten 3 winless teams including my beloved Cougars.

 

I am curious to what a coach heard (because we know they didn't see) that made him switch his vote from last week.

I would have thought CCH might even pick up votes given Dixie's dominance over Beechwood. Hard to figure.

Agree with ALL except #9 should be Newport Wildcats, #10 Lloyd, New Cath, and BC are winless, right?

 

Yes, Newcath is winless, but don't forget they have only played 2 games, one 5A & one 6A. Now if Newcath had scheduled like Lloyd did and played Dayton, Newcath would have a win in the wins column. But there's no benefit to playing teams like that because they don't challenge the BREDS like those 5 & 6A schools. The only perk I can see to playing Dayton, etc is if your just out to put a definite win on your record. I mean really, there's no reason why a 2A program should be scheduling some of those 1A schools, with exception of maybe Beechwood,

This way of thinking actually does hold some merit. Last year as T kept raking up the L's, some kept saying they were still the best in the state. It's no one else's fault who each team schedules and if you want to be considered the best you have to win some f those games.

Now with that said I'm not saying CCH should drop because of the Moeller game but if they lose a game or two more against that kind of opponent then they shouldn't be 1 or 2. If SOS was all that matters to be #1 then everyone would simply play the best teams in the GCL they could just to get walloped.
