Malone's service is better. For what it's worth, even though the same company owns them, I like Sal's better than Malone's.
September 9, 201412 yr If you like Cajun food, Bourbon n' Toulouse on Euclid Avenue is very good and VERY reasonable. As previously mentioned, it's hard to beat Pazzo's for pizza and beer. The Mellow Mushroom on Upper Street also very good. You mention Bourgon n' Toulouse ... while looking that up, I noticed The Beer Trappe (The Beer Trappe ? LEXINGTON?S FIRST CRAFT BEER STORE!) a few doors down on Euclid. Has anyone been there? Looks like a fantastic place for the craft beer connoisseur. Voted one of the top 100 Beer Bars in the country.

September 9, 201412 yr I'm not sure but don't recall seeing it last time we ate there. Gotcha. I think when I was there they might have closed the Tates Creek one but left the Virginia Avenue one open. If you've not tried it, it's definitely worth it. There's still a Gumbo Ya Ya on Broadway in the same shopping center as Buffalo Wild Wings.

I go to the Beer Trappe EVERY time I'm in the Chevy Chase area. It is simply awesome! They organize their beers on the shelves by country of origin and/or style, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it. They also have 7 or 8 beers on tap at all times. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.:thumb::thumb:

September 9, 201412 yr Ramsey's is the best in Lex IMO (cajun catfish). I really like Suggins as well (fried walleye). Love Columbia (nighthawk), but if you want a GREAT meal, Merrick Inn is definitely the place to go (bourbon pork chop and whipped sweet potatoes). As far as something a little different, Gumbo Ya Ya is excellent (alligator) Also, Cheng's is probably one of the best Chinese joints I've been to (general's chicken and hot and sour soup). The biggest downfall in moving back to Bowling Green is the fact that all the restaurants around here are absolutely terrible. Too many chains.
September 9, 201412 yr For those saying Pazzos is great...it's not. I could name 5 places I'd rather get pizza from in Lexington (2 of which are a stone's throw away from it). I can drink beer there, but the food is disgusting. WARNING: DO NOT GET A GRINDER FROM THERE. Joe B's is okay but I'd eat that before Pazzos. Ramsey's is the best place to go for "local" stuff. Other great places - Suggins, House of Soul, Malone's, Local Taco, Alfalfa, Sahara, Saul Good, Drake's to name a few...
