Who did the Reds get in return?

$9M off the books for 2015 plus PTBNL.

I knew the money was the reason behind the trade, was just wondering if they got anybody in return.

And so it begins.

Trading in the division, giving up on 2015 as well it looks like.

Trading in the division' date=' giving up on 2015 as well it looks like.[/quote'] Getting rid of an overpriced reliever is giving up on 2015? Ok then... You would be complaining they don't have any money to get a hitter. This helps.

It is when you trade him to the team leading the division.

Glad they are trying to atleast gear up to make something happen in the off season

I guess this means Chapman going nowhere, which means no added hitting, just taking a little money off the books

Like they do every off season?

2 PTBNL

Brewers assume the entire contract

Good deal for the Reds. Hard to argue otherwise.

Looks like Chapman isn't going anywhere.

Agreed, I don't think Chapman wants to go anywhere else either, yes he wants the money, but anywhere else he goes he risk the chance they make him a starter, which he doesn't want. With the Reds, he knows where he will be.
