September 1, 201412 yr Agreed, I don't think Chapman wants to go anywhere else either, yes he wants the money, but anywhere else he goes he risk the chance they make him a starter, which he doesn't want. With the Reds, he knows where he will be. Chapman wants no part of starting, he would take a pay cut before that would happen

This will be the only deal Walt makes, I could see him maybe moving Heisey or Hanahan, but otherwise everything will be just like spring training 2014, roster-wise.
September 1, 201412 yr Ironically Walt is cleaning up his own mess. Someone miscalculated that Chapman would move to the starting rotation. No way you sign Broxton and pay him closer $ for that long if you think / know he's only going to be a setup man. As an organation, they screwed up and now fixed it -- too late. Whether that is Walt, Castellini, Chapman or some combination of all, I have no idea.
September 2, 201412 yr Chapman is the next move to make but it won't happen. Out of all the pitchers on the staff he could land the most loot due to him being under contract for two more seasons.

September 2, 201412 yr until the Red's get over their love circle for Bailey, Hoover and Votto, the Reds will NOT be a factor in the division. Bailey was a waste of money when considering Latos and Cueto both are due up. Hoover is just awful and Votto signed his big deal and does what every other player who gets a big deal does. Its frustrating to see that kind of waste

September 2, 201412 yr This team is a disaster. Big contracts to the wrong guys, no depth, old, injury prone. The deals for Votto and Bailey were over the top for me.
