I can't wait to see how Baker and Long in the same back field works out. They will probably be the best RB duo in the Tri-State area not to mention their QB Price who is a threat at running the ball also. If the Tomcats have any type of passing game this year they are going to be a force to reckon with. Good luck to both Teams!!

Raceland didn't seem to look as good running the ball last week as they had in the past. I guess we are going to find out how good they really are at throwing it. That Ashland secondary is twice as big as Easts and faster too.

I didn't see Raceland last week, but have heard they were pass heavy. Ashland had question marks in the secondary coming into the season, but I will believe they will be solid there, at least as the season progresses. If nothing else they should be able to keep Raceland honest this week, I hope.

 

The same should be said for Ashland, Raceland will key on the running game, forcing Ashland to keep it honest. If Prince is indeed more comfortable and throwing the ball well I would like to see a little bit of Jake Long at wideout. With Baker at RB, a dual threat QB, and a 6'1 4.4 40 athlete at WR should force most defences to play honest.

Long is not a receiver, that's one of the reasons he left Ironton in the middle of the season last year. I was told by a family member that Ironton wasn't using him properly, he's likes to run the ball outside not inside. Should be interesting to see how Ashland uses him.

The WILL to prepare must be bigger than the WILL to win. That, Rams, will provide you with the opportunity to do big things.

Do not know about representation. I am not sure that anyone can contact 2016 grads until 9/1. You are correct about Long receiving interest from them as well as a couple other players on that team.
