Reds vs. Cardinals (Aug. 18-20)

Featured Replies

If you think they are "blowing it up" in the off season you haven't been paying attention...

Yep. They will pretty much roll out the same guys next year.

I'm sure they're convinced that this year didn't pan out because of injuries.

Tonight shows why Cueto has no chance at Cy Young,

He's made 27 starts this season, 25 of which have been fantastic.

Actually, only 24 of them have been "fantastic".

His 3 so-called duds:

May 20th @ Washington (Start #10): 5 1/3 IP, 6 Hits, 8 Runs (6 earned), 0 BB, 6 K

June 6th vs. Philly (Start #13): 5 IP, 6 Hits, 4 Runs

August 20th @ STL (Start #27): 5 IP, 7 Hits, 5 Runs, 4 BB, 4 K

And thats a problem.

I think its time we start squawking for a new owner for this team.

I think Castellini is a great owner. Nobody wants to win more than him. He just needs to remove himself from any player decisions.

Jerry Jones syndrome?

After the Reds' stellar performance in St. Louis this week I anticipate a ground swell of support for me to start the next thread. However, I think it only fair that someone else gets a turn to start one.

As for the last three games...you're welcome.

He's had 2 bad starts all year. Terrible...

Geez, Nothing like putting words in my mouth. I never said terrible. He has been great but when you can't beat your rivals, it doesn't look good. Kershaw is good nearly ever start.

1) So Cueto being good in 24 of 27 starts isn't being good in nearly every start?

2) As to the bolded, you should've ended that sentence with "except when he isn't." Like on May 17th @ Arizona (1.2 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 2 BB).

Didn't the Reds pathetic offense beat Kershaw this year?

That being said, I still think Kershaw wins the Cy Young.

It's not player of the game. It's the entire season. Just making sure you were aware because that's absurd.
