Any big performers out there? I'm sure we've got to have a couple of guys getting D1 looks this year. How did all of the waterboys look coming out of the scrimmages? Any key injuries?

I didn't see anyone that stood out this year in any of the scrimmages I saw. I don't know if there will be any DI offers out of this crop, but should have a couple NAIA and DII offers.

 

I did hear Ludlow had a PWO offer with Miami of Ohio, but that could be just rumor, you know how all those Ludlow fans get on BGP and tout their own kids, can't get a word in edgewise usually with those folks.

Ryle's water boy is taking a different approach this year, with the hopes of meeting all the hydration requirements a team needs. Gone are the old school days of salt pills and one water bottle for the whole practice mentality. This year it is a battery operated hydration "system" to get the water to athletes faster, additionally he will be carrying a specially designed belt to hold six back up bottles for those no huddle situations.

There are other warterboys outside of NKY.....typical bias towards the rest of the state....

I tried out For Ryles waterboy but was cut. They said they had someone smarter and faster than me and waterboys were not allowed to coach. But I'm allowed to film the games! They said something about being far away from the field? Whatever that means?

Correct, his number one WB, in practice can hit the mouth from 25yds with player helmet on and not hit the face mask. Now, this is practice so we will see how he does in a game situation but come playoff time he should be ready for that game vs a team from NKY.

Heard rumors of some game suspensions for a couple of D1 Waterboys. Caught participating in the "Ice Bucket Challenge".

According to KHSAA you are not allowed to participate in any other hydration events after July 15th.
