There has been heavy debate and much dispute on this, but the new KHSAA ruling was just announced:

 

Waterboys are now required to wear fanny packs.

 

I gotta say I am surprised by this ruling. I know they were petitioning to wear those hard hats with the 2 drink holders and straws. But a fanny pack?

Apparently some of these D1 waterboy recruits only got their scholarship because of the size of the water bottles they carried. It had nothing to do with how good they carry water or how they did last year. But they were really good at the waterboy college camps.

 

Dixie D 1 waterboys showed the beachwood waterboys that SIZE does matter.

Ryle's waterboy was very inefficient at being able to get on the field, when he did he gave water to the imposing team and in good field position none the less. The other team received water at twice the rate that Ryle did. I did notice that once Ryle got the water they just gave it to the other team though so I don't think it mattered.

I don't think we can really judge Simon Kentons waterboy at this point. The first three games were against weak opponents therefore the players weren't that thirsty. Kinda hard to get a gauge on him at this point although I do believe he is a top 3 waterboy.

3) Calvary Christian (WHAT? Don't even have a football team to have a waterboy)

4) Pendleton County

5) Notre Dame (How does an all girls school make the list?)

6) Silver Grove (Again no football team)

7) Newport (I agree with this. I really think this is his year)

8) Moeller (They should be in the top 10 with the size of their enrollment but then again, they aren't even a KY school)

9) Campbell County (I also agree with this after their impressive moral victory over Highlands)

10) Our Lady of Providence (I though this school closed 30 years ago)

Most years their Waterboy rankings are pretty solid but this year they have some leaks.

Highlands top hydrator is out for the season due to injury. Water on the knee.
