Any big performers out there? I'm sure we've got to have a couple of guys getting D1 looks this year. How did all of the waterboys look coming out of the scrimmages? Any key injuries?

 

Cool temps have this years crop lulled into a false sense of security and across the board performance has been lax. Mid week temps should incentivize a ramp up in speed and delivery techniques.

 

Young Joey Potter did sustain a sprained ankle when sidetracked by Kona Ice truck tune last weekend. Should be back at a 100% next week. :thumb:

Covington Catholic has a water boy commuting from Falmouth Lake.

Apparently some of these D1 waterboy recruits only got their scholarship because of the size of the water bottles they carried. It had nothing to do with how good they carry water or how they did last year. But they were really good at the waterboy college camps.

Holy Cross has a whole busload of waterboys from Cincinnati this year.

Were those commit-able offers?

I'm more interested in how many waterboys have legitimately been offered DI scholarships. I'm not counting DIII recruits because we all know that most DIII schools won't turn down any waterboy who wants to go there because it's all about getting those waterboy tuition money.

 

Ive seen some DIII teams with as many as 45 waterboys on their roster.

I heard they do this as a way to bolster the teams overall GPA.

I tried out For Ryles waterboy but was cut. They said they had someone smarter and faster than me and waterboys were not allowed to coach. But I'm allowed to film the games! They said something about being far away from the field? Whatever that means?

 

Consider yourself lucky! Ryle's last waterboy got tazed.

I heard there are a couple schools down in eastern Ky who are being investigated because apparently they brought in some transfers from France and along with them I hear they are using Saint-Gerron in their water bottles, may be a violation. I also heard one of the waterboys who apparently is only in the 9th grade is actually 26 years old.

Weren't their parents around? How could they let this happen?

 

Was it the varsity waterboys or the jv waterboys who were busted?

Campbell County despite the fact of the amount of students it has to pick from seems to not be able to consistently produce top level hydrators. Maybe this is the year they get over the hump.

I heard there were some waterboys attending the Bobby Boucher camp during the "Dry Period".

Trinity's water boy killed Highland's water boy in a scrimmage. But don't worry, Highland's water boy will be difficult to stop for all the other teams in the state. And, Trinity's water boy didn't look very explosive after the first water break, it took him eight or nine plays to get water to the team the rest of the time.

 

The KHSAA won't allow Fairview to have water boys this year, they have to get their own damn water.

 

Chuck Smith is the Water Boy at Boyle County, he was quoted as saying, "No one waters Chuck Smith's team, except Chuck Smith".

 

In today's world with all this "purge" stuff, and school shootings and such, I wish you would have chosen a different way of describing your post. I am sure it was innocent, and maybe I am being over sensitive, but I think it could have been described differently. Funny post, just don't like the usage of "killed".
