Purge in Louisville Friday night?

Featured Replies

You and the majority of people that live here. :lol2: Most people I know avoid 4th Street like the plague. Too many stupid rules.

Since there is no crime around NKU, WKU, or UK...

Last I checked there was not a purge planned this weekend near those schools.

Well, Louisville is on the Ohio River, so from time to time, anywhere in the city you could get that smell. Especially after a heavy rain. Also, there used to be a dog food plant very close to campus on Floyd Street, and sometimes that stuff smelled BAD. As for the garbage, I don't really know how to explain that. I've been on campus quite a bit, and I've never seen it how you describe. Maybe something was going on that had a lot of people out and about those times? I don't know.

As for changes on campus, it is completely different than it was five years ago. New buildings, new dorms, new restaurants, new entrances to the campus, the works. There are still older buildings obviously, but major improvements have been made in that time stretch. I love that part of town, it's changed 10-fold since I moved here in 2004.

You don't need to explain. There's a couple of UK fans on here that it won't make a difference to anyway, you'll never change their opinion and it's not worth getting banned over:thumb:

^ My sports fandom has zero impact on how much I like or dislike a city. That's absrud. I have no issue with Louisville, I've been a few times and always had fun and felt safe.

Lets setup an even for these people that want to "purge" and let them all in a ring together and go at it, survival of the fittest. I don't think many will showup.

I'm coming down to protect Deuce, have to have someone to arg.. Debate with on here!

:lol2: :lol2: You think my opinions on the city of Louisville are because of I'm a UK basketball fan? That's one of the most absurd things I've ever seen posted on here.

Go ahead and ask Deuce if he thinks my views/opinions on Louisville have even the slightest to do with sports. I guarantee he won't share your view. Hell, I'm usually on the UofL fans side when it comes to dealing with crazy Kentucky fans on here. :lol2:

You may want to stay home. All Buckeyes are automatically on the Purge List. :lol2::lol2::lol2:

Should JCPD have a larger presence in the streets Friday Night just in case there are some fools wanting to cause extra trouble. Or should they just stand down a go about business as usual? I know many don't take this serious (and it probably isn't), but didn't the issues from this spring form on social media and go to the streets also?

You guys personally may not, but to deny that the rest of the state's disdain for the city of Louisville is a UK v. UofL animosity would be folly. For the majority of UK fans, that's where it comes from.

It goes hand-in-hand with their deification of the city of Lexington, even though I could take them to neighborhoods in Lex that would scare the blue right off their blinders.

They have no choice but to amp it up some.

Never crossed my mind that UKMF's dislike for Louisville had anything to do with sports. He's had my back on several occasions when dealing with the UK whackos...

Now others on this board, I 100% believe their dislike for the city of Louisville has everything to do with UofL.

Either way they will face criticism...any amount of "Amping" up will be considered over reaction by many.

BTW, if I'm out and about Friday night, I will be armed. :lol2:

I don't think anyone would disagree, they just didn't stick a university in the middle of it.

I kid, I kid.

I love what they have done around UofL lately. At least on the athletic side of things.
