August 12, 201412 yr I haven't followed the case really at all but I think this is crap. If a citizen shot a police officer' date=' their name would be released within hours of the shooting.[/quote'] Now it sounds like they will release it once they are sure the officer and his family are safe. August 12, 201412 yr Just saw these comments on another site about the looters: "I still recall the photos of the Korean storeowners on their roofs with high powered rifles during the LA riots, picking off looters as they arrive. And the huge sign held up by white suburbanites near New Orleans: "Drunks with Guns. You Loot, We Shoot."
August 12, 201412 yr Interesting commentary going on on Twitter regarding the picture the media chose to use of the victim. Search #IfTheyGunnedMeDown It's a lead story on the New York Times website right now: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/13/us/if-they-gunned-me-down-protest-on-twitter.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&version=LargeMediaHeadlineSum&module=photo-spot-region®ion=photo-spot&WT.nav=photo-spot&_r=0
August 12, 201412 yr If that story is even CLOSE to being true...then that police officer deserves everything coming to him and more. This guy was right with Brown when the entire incident occurred. If the witness or Brown were guilty of any wrongdoing I'm sure he wouldn't say so. That makes me take the description of the altercation with a grain of salt. That being said if Brown were shot in the back while running away with his hands up after the initial altercation and shot again while lying on the ground after being wounded it sounds really bad.
August 12, 201412 yr Didn't the media go out of their way to make Trayvon Martin look young and innocent in the photo's they put up of him, using photo's that were several years old? Why is it different this time?

August 12, 201412 yr Author They think they are protestors. Here's a quote from one: DeAndre Smith, 30, said members of the community were “fighting back” against the police when they ransacked and torched the QuikTrip near West Florissant and Ferguson Avenue, which is now a heap of burnt debris and twisted steel, after a Ferguson police officer shot and killed teenager Mike Brown. “This is exactly what’s supposed to happen when an injustice is happening in your community when you have kids getting killed for nothing, when they’re out here minding their own business doing nothing,” he told a St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter while pointing at the smoldering gas station behind him. “You can lock them up, teach them, hold them but at the same time you ain’t got to kill them.” IMO you are no longer a protester once you begin looting or encouraging looting/violence. That isn't protesting.
August 12, 201412 yr Author Are the people in power not Obama and Eric Holder. 2 Black guys. Is most of the crime in Chicago which is controlled by an Obama cronney. Where is Jesse Jackson and Sharpton on the issue of black on black crime. It'll take way more than just two people. Way more.
August 12, 201412 yr IMO you are no longer a protester once you begin looting or encouraging looting/violence. That isn't protesting. I agree but that's what a lot of these people think they are doing...
