I have no idea what actually happened and neither does anybody else who has posted in this thread. I will reserve judgment until more facts are in. Was not countering or arguing your information. Just that mistakes during initial encounters and tense moments are bad. But if what you posted is correct then it makes a sad situation possibly much harder to understand.

It was the NAACP that made the request to the St. Louis County Police. By calling the shooting "routine," I don't mean that it is a common occurrence - I mean that it does not seem to be a complicated set of facts that would require any special technical expertise or equipment. It seems like a job that any big city or state police department should be able to handle. On that, I have no idea.

There is no reason that the FBI should be involved in an investigation like this. The Department of Justice should be color blind, but that has not been the case for the past five years.
