Fingers finished his career with 114 wins. The most innings he ever pitched in one season was in 1970 with 148, 14 games shy of the minimum to qualify .

I remember that one well. It was Willie McGee. He was traded from the Cardinals to the A's in 1990. The oddity was that, although he had enough at bats to qualify and win the NL title, if you added his performance with the A's to that of what he had already done with the Cards his overall batting average was lower than the NL runner-up. That meant that the overall MLB batting champion didn't lead either league because the NL runner up had a higher average than the AL winner.
