You're probably right.

Just looked it up. You're right. His 1st season was 68.

I started my career in the 1970's and I'm the only player in the 20th century to collect at least 20 stolen bases for 6 different teams, who am I?

I won't reveal it because I looked it up, and I'm stunned by the answer.

I just looked it up too, and would have never guessed him because I didn't realize his career started in the 70's.

Normally don't have time to be a fact-checker, but would've guessed Rickey did it with 8 or more teams

'79: A's

'85; Yankee's

'93: Bluejays

'96; Padres

'99; Mets

'00; Mariners

My new guess, Davey Collins

You are correct, it was my mistake in saying 20th century, when I should have said 1900's then it would be Davey Collins.

1976 Angels 32

I was traded to the Reds for one of the Reds' all-time greats. I usually hit in the lineup behind a Reds' all-time great. When I left the Reds, it was not under the most congenial of terms. I suffered an injury playing basketball , in violation of my contract, plus I grew a beard. The Reds were not happy with either. I filed a grievance against the team and won. I once led the NL in stolen bases, becoming the only player other than my former teammate to be the steals leader during a nine-year stretch. I was the first player to win both the Hutch award and the Comback Player of the Year award in the same season. The Reds traded me to the Padres for a pitcher who later died at the young age of 43. I was the first hitting coach of a Padres' all time great. Oh.... Just in case you don't know me by now, I had a bit of an unusual batting stance as well. WHO AM I?

Traded to Reds for Vada Pinson.

Hit behind Pete Rose.

Stole more bases than Lou Brock in 1970.

Traded from the Reds for Clay Kirby.

Was Tony Gwynn's first batting coach.

Had the ole Lady Liberty batting stance.... BOBBY TOLAN indeed!

Nice job, slug!
