I voted for President Obama twice. Do I feel he could have done/could do better? Absolutely. However, considering the alternatives, I'd still vote for him again if there was a "do over".

 

Exactly the same way I feel. Obama could be doing better, I would still vote for him over Romney or a 2008 McCain.

I'm sorry, but just about every president would get the same response 2 years after an election. Not saying anything about Obama or any other president, it's just mid-term people aren't to happy with any sitting president.

 

I believe midway through Reagan's first term many people regretted voting for him. When he stepped into office, the country was going through terrible stagflation with double digit inflation and near double digit unemployment. Up till then, most economists were of a Keynesian philosophy that it was impossible to have high inflation during an economic downturn. The Chairman of the Federal Reserve (I think Paul Volckler?) told Reagan that for the economy to recover, inflation had to be controlled and to do that, the Fed would have to raise rates which would drive the US into a deeper recession. Reagan understood where the Fed Chairman was going but he also understood that the public would not understand it and would crucify him. Reagan decided to do what was right and not what was popular and the enconomy did fall deeper into a recession. Once inflation calmed down, Reagan used deregulation and supply side economics (often called Trickle Down by opponents) to start the bull market of the 80's which got him reelected in a landslide. Had that recovery taken longer to come about, Reagan probably would not have been relected and Walter Mondale would have been given credit for the recovery.

Maybe we can have an option for "none of the above" in the next Presidential election and leave the office vacant. We would save a lot of money.

The Republicans have had 6 years to overhaul their platform and gain a consensus within their own party, and they haven't done it yet. I can't see what difference another two years will make at this rate. I hope they prove me wrong, and we actually have viable choices who can beat Bhillary.

Not many worshippers , I meant voters, openly admit they screwed up when casting that vote in 2012 . Really rubs me the wrong way with the horrific job Obama has done that not hardly a soul stands up ( or types) " I voted for the wrong guy"

As it was at the same point in his administration he enjoyed ratings about 25 points higher than Obama, as did Clinton.

I never thought that I would live to see a president worse than Jimmy Carter but at least Carter respected our laws and the Constitution.

 

At this point, I would vote for a ticket of Andrew Johnson and Millard Fillmore over Obama and Biden. The damage that Obama continues to do to this country will continue to grow years into the future, no matter who wins the next few elections. He has set precedents that future administration will use to justify their own tyrannical actions.

 

Congress has been Obama's accomplice by not raising any serious objections to his disregard for the Constitution and extreme abuse of power. John Boehner's planned lawsuit is nothing but a cowardly sideshow.
