How Do You Feel About Your Restaurant Service?

I do not, for the life of me, understand the phenomenon of taking pictures of your food.

Remember back in the old days before smart phones when we had to suffer through TELLING people about the delicious meal we had at a restaurant?

Those numbers don't seem possible. 2 hours start to finish? I find that hard to believe.

People take pictures of things that would never cross my mind. Food? Really?

I haven't read the article (yet), but I rarely complain about restaurant service (unless it is REALLY bad). Even then, I still give a reasonable tip (between 15 - 20%).

They're calling the restaurant "a famous restaurant in NYC". I went to Morton's in Cincy around Christmas this year. It has reputation enough to be called a famous restaurant - spent at least 2 hours there all told.

Me too. 20% of the people sent their food back too? A lot of those numbers seemed exaggerated.

This is me.

Too many self-absorbed divas up in New York. That's my explanation at least.

Not at a good restaurant in NY.

I could see that if you are with a few people having drinks but for the average customer that's just crazy.

Guilty on more than one occasion.

As a former restaurant owner, I watch and see more things going on than the casual guest.

1. Service quality is not nearly as good as it used to be. There are so many more resataurants then there used to be, and most of them are cookie cutter corporate restaurants. Go to places like Malone's or some other privately owned restaurant and see the difference. The number of professional restaurant people is dwindling.

2. A lot of customers are idiots.
