I'm telling you the rules that were posted are clear and he is clearly NOT acting within the rules.

Purely for the sake of discussion:

If this were ruled to be a violation what would you all see as the proper punishment?

Lose a scrimmage?

Forfeit a game?

Monetary Fines?

Slap on the wrist verbally and probation?

Myself personally don't see it as a flagrant offense, but others may. With that said, it is not only clear he would have broken the rule...but broke it 3 times and his team would have gained an edge over everyone else.

Think it is a little more than a slap on a wrist, but the punishment also can't negatively affect another program who was innocent. Thus don't think you can pull their scrimmage or 7 vs. 7 rights because then you are potentially jeopardizing hurting another program.

IMHO the proper punishment would be take away practices equal to the number that they illegally had participated in. If McCracken practiced three days in pads when they were not allowed then they have to choose 3 days of practice when full pads are allowed and forfeit those days.

I would say play Mayfield without Hughes, that would atone for it too me!

I think he knows the rules behind the doors at the KHSAA office.

There will be little if any punishment from the KHSAA for this.

I would have the punishment maybe 4 or 5 missed for the 3 taken. Have to make it hurt more if you want to discourage it.

Miss a scrimmage. The other team can go participate in a 3 way or 4 way scrimmage. Scrimmages don't have to be 1 team vs 1 team anymore. This won't penalize an innocent team. This is the same coach that got penalized for having a scrimmage during the dead period several years ago.

A source told me that the KHSAA contacted the school to inquire and McCracken reportedly indicated they accidently broke the rule

Accidentally

Hahahahaha

He knew the rules and so does every coach out there. Maybe all coaches can cheat and claim accident.

Better punish severe now as to set a precedent for others who try same thing.

It'll be a slap on the wrist. But you can't tell me a coach who was been around KY football as long as he has "doesn't know the rules"

It is hard to believe but why would he allow the paper in to take pictures?
