The player should be in, period. He cheated the game, no emotion there. Never said he wasn't a great hitter, he was. There are two sides to this one, everyone knows that. Never bought the fact he overachieved. What the heck does that mean? He was darn good and could hit. He played hard, was cocky and arrogant. To me though, he cheated the game.

July 16, 201412 yr It is the "National Baseball Hall of Fame", not the MLB HOF. If they wanted to induct him they could. Of course, that wouldn't sit well with MLB.
July 16, 201412 yr Author IMO Pete will never get in while he is alive...after he is dead I think whoever Commish is at that time will reinstate him. But I'm not sure the prima-donnas that vote will vote him in even then. I've said that same thing for a while now. I'll be glad when he gets in but that will always leave a sour taste in my mouth for baseball, if that's how it plays out.

Is it first come first serve on HR derby Your best bet will probably be to become a season ticket holder next year. I'm sure that's one of the few ways you'll be able to get tickets to All-Star weekend.

And of course the Reds full season ticket holders will likely have first dibs on any tickets that go to actual fans.
July 17, 201412 yr I have been to the Hall of Fame and Pete is everywhere in the Hall of Fame. They need to go ahead and put his plaque in there. By the way, there are all kinds of t shirts up and down the "strip" at the shops there in support of Pete. If/When they do put his plaque there, I will be there!

The only way to 100% guarantee tickets to the all star game and the rest was to be a season ticket holder this and next year.
