Trinity has an incoming freshmen who is 6'9" from Egypt. He is the younger brother of a current 7'1" U of L basketball signee.

It seems to always be Trinity as opposed to a JCPS school,or for that manner, any other private school as well. They are very lucky to get these kids

Lol... I'm wondering where all the "Rodrick Rhodes" critics are in light of this? I guess this situation is much different, since Rodrick isn't coaching at this school?

I read an article from awhile back from when the older brother was still at a high school in Florida (I think it was in the Orlando Sentinel) and was saying that he hoped his brother could come to the States soon. I'd imagine that his moving here (to the States) has been in the works for awhile.

It has been in the works for awhile. I had heard that Trinity was a possible location for the Egyptian kid, but the last I heard a final decision had not yet been made.

 

The West kid is at Trinity and has been playing with the team (before the dead period). I have been worried about Trinity's lack of quickness; perhaps he can help in that regard.

For what it is worth, Trinity was 25-0 in summer competition. I understand Spalding and forward Christian Thieneman played in California and performed very well.

 

Trinity school staff members are the folks that confirmed the Egyptian freshman's intention of enrolling at Rock Heaven.
