Yup, Trinity is the only school to ever get impact transfers.

It has been in the works for awhile. I had heard that Trinity was a possible location for the Egyptian kid, but the last I heard a final decision had not yet been made.

 

The West kid is at Trinity and has been playing with the team (before the dead period). I have been worried about Trinity's lack of quickness; perhaps he can help in that regard.

 

I agree that it would appear that there might be a lack of quickness there but the thing I heard over and over and over again at the state tournament was how "long" Trinity was. Something that pretty much surprised alot of people. One thru five those kids are very long. When u start with the PG at about 6'3" and go up from there to about 6'10" that can make up for some lack of quickness.

 

With or without the transfer Trinity was agruably the preseason favorite. But now if the new kid is a distributing PG they might be scary good. With Levitch and Ramser on opposite sides of the floor and Spalding in the middle....whew.

Trinity will be ridiculously long this year. If Dixon starts, at 6'3" he will be the smallest starter by a couple of inches, I think. My concern is that Trinity might turn out to be like Bellarmine's team last year - a team full of good shooters with good size but vulnerable to quick teams who could beat them down the floor.

 

It likely will be an academic point, as Trinity will have such superior talent compared to their opposition that they won't have many close games.

Brother's guardian is a family friend works for Yum! Brands in Louisville. I'm sure he'll be able to find something.

Trinity has an incoming freshmen who is 6'9" from Egypt. He is the younger brother of a current 7'1" U of L basketball signee.

 

The 6'9" freshman did NOT enroll at Trinity afterall. This was confirmed by a staff member today. The kids from Mississippi are enrolled.
