I think this is an indication that all of the Heat's guys are working in concert and that they'll all be back. The key to this whole thing was Wade. He's most likely going to be taking a pay cut by opting out and if he were the only one who'd be staying in Miami, it'd be kind of dumb for him to opt out unless he thought there was a way to lure another super team down.

Smart for Wade and Bosh to do so if they're planning on getting Lebron to carry them through another title run. Without Wade opting out, not way Lebron returns, IMO. Would have left them with no extra money to get extra help.

Looks like it'll be Cole/Napier, Wade, LeBron, Bosh, ???, Haslem, Birdman, probably another year of Allen (limited minutes in the regular season though).

Anyone know if they are targeting any centers? I think it's a team in need of a bruiser. Maybe they think that next year, Oden can be that guy when they really need him. They'd said it was probably at least a 2 year project, and you don't hear much about the Heat going shopping for bigs.

I'm really intrigued by what DWade's salary will be. He has to take a monumental pay cut for them to be successful.

The Lakers will be pursuing Bosh hard. Not sure how I feel about that.

DWade will ok. He can read this for some helpful hints.:lol2:

Who is the #1 target for the Heat now that it looks like they will stay together.

#2?

They still need quite a bit based on how they looked in the finals.

It will be interesting but it's nice to see a guy in his position no taking that cash. He isn't worth the 10 million the Spurs are paying Duncan and Manu.

Am I the only one thinking why would Lebron go back to the Heat as constituted? If I am Lebron, I would almost want you to sign someone outside of the Big 3 first before I made my decision.

Before the Finals started, my wife said this Heat team looks a lot more like the 2007 Cavs than a title winner. The Heat won a game, but the Cavs actually played the Spurs closer, so I guess she wasn't as crazy as I initially thought.

I think we forget that the Heat are 2-2 in the Finals and are a 45 point game in Game 6 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals by Lebron and a miracle 3 in the 2013 Finals from Ray Allen away from no titles. I don't think LeBron forgets that.

I'm not sure that a return to the Heat is the right play if he wants to be on a better team- at least not without bringing in a solid signing like a Pau Gasol or a Kyle Lowery. If I am LeBron, I want that guy signed first and then we can talk about the re-up.

Ah, I hear Spurs fans say that and talk about should have been back-to-backs, and I say, "you realize you are a broke A/C away from possibly being down 0-2 with the series going back to Miami with memories of last year still there too though right???".

I think there's more "luck" in the A/C than the best player in the game going for 35 in a do-or-die Game 6 or Pop taking out Duncan so he gets a smaller lineup out there to switch on screens and contest the shot, then ends up giving up a rebound that falls into the best shooter in the game's hands for an open look.

I do know what you are saying in general though about the 2007 Cavs/Title winner. If the Heat got it this year, it was going to be because LeBron carried them and Bosh played well enough.

No way Wade is going to get less money overall. I think before he opted out he was due $40 million for the next two years. I bet he signs for 4 years and $50 million. He will then retire after two years and still get paid for the final two years.

If I'm the Heat, I say bye to Wade and try to bring Melo in for a new Big 3. Wade is breaking down more season by season and isn't a max player anymore.

I agree.
