June 23, 201412 yr Author But it's made (in most cases) in a pie pan...hence the confusion :idunno: It's cake. Cheese pie, or as most of us normal people here "up state" refer to as pizza, is pretty good too, but not considered a dessert. Oh you whacky hicks down south.
June 23, 201412 yr Havent had cake or pie or ice cream in 3 years. Want me to remind you how it tastes? :D
June 23, 201412 yr Love pie, but it has to have whipped cream or eaten with ice cream. Cake can stand on its own. But ice cream makes cake better too...... I'm one of those who does not like ice cream with cake. Wonder why that is, even as a kid I didn't like ice cream with cake.
June 24, 201412 yr cake, but Ive never turned down a pie if it was the only thing offered, chocolate of course. I hate cheesecake though, I don't know why, but I think its nasty.
June 24, 201412 yr Chocolate Pie is the king for me! I do love Yellow cake with Chocolate icing w/peaches poured over the top! How did you come across this combo?
June 24, 201412 yr Author I'm one of those who does not like ice cream with cake. Wonder why that is, even as a kid I didn't like ice cream with cake. I'm the exact same way Dog. And a lot of people look at me kinda weird when I say that. To me, if the cake is what it should be...tasty, moist and fresh, then it doesn't need ice cream and the ice cream only takes away from the taste of the cake. If a cake NEEDS ice cream with it, then it's not very good cake. I'm the same way with cobbler too.
June 24, 201412 yr Last night the wife made a mixed berry (gooseberry, blueberry and strawberry) low (but not no) sugar pie. Out of this world.
