June 19, 201412 yr Homer with the mental capacity of an ant He does not concentrate hard enough on the lower part of the batting order. He is at his best versus #1 and #2 in the order and the 6 and 7 hitters hit the best off him.
June 19, 201412 yr Breaking Down Stolen Base Break-Even Points | FanGraphs Baseball I know the non stats guys are going to hate this but you have to be successful 78% of the time to make stealing 3rd with no outs worth the risk and only 69% with 1 out and it climbs to 88% if there are 2 outs. Basically like I said it's a totally different animal. If the argument is Hamilton is a much better base stealer than 78% I would agree with the he can do whatever he wants. Has he tried to steal 3rd with no outs since being caught? I miss more of the weekend games than I ever used to
June 19, 201412 yr Frazier caught a bad break, but man that still was stupid, the ball is in front of you. No excuse
June 19, 201412 yr I'm done with this. If you guys think stealing 3rd with 1 out compared to 0 outs is the same thing you can't be serious. Never heard the adage "Don't steal third with no outs". Now I have heard "Don't make the first or third out at third".
June 19, 201412 yr Do you bring in Parra to face Polanco after the rain delay? This is a pretty big AB.
June 19, 201412 yr Homer can give you 2 solid trips through the order, then the wheels fall off, and it's batting practice.
