Scott County and Elder (OH) to play Home and Home

Featured Replies

Scott County and Elder (OH) will start playing a Home and Home series in 2015. In 2015 the game will be played at the Pit and in 2016 the game will be played at Toyota Stadium.

Great job Scott County!

Hard to believe just 2 years ago Scott Co. scheduled Webster Co.

Man that's tough. I cant' remember the las time a KY team beat a Cincy GCL. Not even the Kentucky powerhouses FT Highlands, Saint X or Trininty has failed in recent years.

You might want to check your history.

I said recent year Sir. Meaning maybe the last couple of year. Respectfully, fill me in with the history so I can store it in my memory bank. Thanks

Two years? That's all you can recall? Ok. I'm old so recent to me involves several years so I can recall multiple wins.

Like I said several seasons. If it goes beyond 5-6 season then sure. I myself can't think that far... but I know that within the last couple of season FT Highlands has lost to Cincy Elder a couple of time and St. X has lost to Cincy Moeller and Moeller has beaten Trinity along the way.... Hey good luck to Scott Co, this is their thread, not jacking it. Just wondering when the last successful KY team to beat a Cincy GCL.

I heard no one on the I-75 corridor would play them so they went a little further north I guess. I am hearing that they are playing Highlands as well. good for Coach McKee for picking up two great opponents. I do hear that they are having trouble finding games outside of the Lexington schools. I think there are several schools that would match up well in the state but I guess winning a state title changes peoples thoughts about putting you on the schedule

I'm guessing Scott will match up well at the skill positions, but how will the line play hold up to Elder's?

Last year's line at Scott County was pretty high-quality, but I'm not sure if that is annual occurrence.

Highlands beat Elder in 2011

Trinity beat Cincy St X last year, and beat Elder, Moeller and St X in 2012 and 2011

If I'm not mistaken 2011 Trinity beat Elder as bad as they've ever been beaten and it happened in The Pit. They followed in up the following week with a win a Balaban Stadium and cloed the regular season beating Moeller in Louisville.

In 2012 Trinity beat both Elder and X again and lost by 3 to Moeller in Cincinatti.

Trinity got dusted by Moeller last year but by my reckoning that makes Trinity 5-2 against GCL competition in the last 3 seasons.

I can go back further if you like.

Living in the area this has got me excited. Get to see one of the big, bad Cincy teams I have heard so much about.

I applaud Scott County for stepping up!!! If they are competive against teams like these, win or lose, they will gain state & national respect!!!
